We upcycle firefighters’ operational clothing and dress uniforms.
The operational clothing is made of a very robust fabric blend. This fabric is standardized by law. It must meet certain requirements in areas such as flame protection, heat radiation and waterproofness.
Only the interior, zippers and some of the carrying straps are currently made of "new" material.

Your JUNAKii products are manufactured exclusively in Europe and under fair working conditions. This reduces the CO2 footprint and protects the environment. It is important to JUNAKii that both nature and people are treated fairly.
There are people who never wash their backpack or bag.
However, if you want to clean your JUNAKii backpack or your JUNAKii bag, please note the following points:
1. Do not wash in the washing machine, but with lukewarm water in a bowl or bathtub. Unless you want to buy a new washing machine soon. ;-)
2. First brush away the coarse dirt from the outside. Then shake out the inside with the opening facing downwards.
3. Please do not use normal household detergents, they are too aggressive. You can use either a pH-neutral soap, shower gel or special textile detergent.
4. Depending on how dirty it is, you can soak your entire backpack/bag or just clean individual areas with a sponge or brush.
5. Then you have to let your backpack dry.
Make sure that all zippers are open, hang your backpack upside down in a dry place, avoid direct sunlight or direct heat sources (radiators).
6. Please do not iron, bleach or dry clean your backpack or bag!
7. Once your backpack is dry, you can treat it with a waterproofing spray for textiles if you wish.
If you follow these points, you will have fun with your JUNAKii backpack/bag for a very long time.
We generally ship free of charge.
If for any reason you are not satisfied with your JUNAKii product, you can return it within 30 days of receipt.
We will cover the cost of return shipping for you. You will receive a return label from us. Please do not send your product back to us freight collect.
We thought long and hard about whether we should make returns free, as shipping is again at the expense of nature. But we assume that you will love your JUNAKii product and keep it.

About Us
The foundation stone for JUNAKii was laid on the beautiful Swabian Alb in the idyllic, historic half-timbered town of Trochtelfingen. The commander of a volunteer fire brigade on the Swabian Alb and acquaintance of the two co-founders Raphael and Paul had the idea of creating new products from discarded operational clothing. He felt that discarding it was a waste of resources. Paul has been a textile entrepreneur since he was 19. He met the commander by chance while filling up with petrol and was so impressed by his enthusiasm that he spontaneously agreed to implement this vision in the team. The team was soon expanded to include Raphael, who is responsible for marketing and organisation.

For us, sustainability is not just about the product, but also about production and the social responsibility we have as entrepreneurs. This means that we try to make both upstream and downstream processes (production/sales) as sustainable as possible. For this reason, we only produce high-quality products under fair working conditions in Europe. It is part of our philosophy that people and nature are treated fairly.

On average, every European produces a medium-sized suitcase of textile waste every year.** This suitcase is enough for a good week's holiday.
By recycling textiles, we can save resources together. The production of the material causes the greatest CO2 emissions in the production of backpacks. That is why we have consciously decided to upcycle existing material.
But the most sustainable way is to only buy what you really need.

Shipping & Delivery
This depends on which country you live in. All orders are dispatched the following working day. Please note that we do not ship on German public holidays or on weekends. Delivery times apply from the moment the shipment is handed over to the delivery service.

For deliveries outside the European Union, import duties (import
sales tax, customs duties) and fees (customs clearance) may apply.
