JUNAKii - from the gas station to the world
The ORIGIN of JUNAKii lies on the beautiful Swabian Alb in the idyllic, historic half-timbered town of Trochtelfingen.
The commander of a volunteer fire brigade in the Swabian Alb and acquaintance of the two co-founders Raphael and Paul, felt that the disposal of discarded operational clothing prescribed by the manufacturers was a waste of resources.
His idea of creating new products from this decommissioned operational clothing never left him.
The first bags made from operational clothing and uniforms, made by a seamstress we knew, served as prototypes.
Paul has been a textile entrepreneur since he was 19. He met the commander by chance while filling up his tank and was so impressed by his enthusiasm that he spontaneously agreed to implement this vision in the team.
It was clear to him: this is upcycling in its perfect form! The foundation of JUNAKii was laid.
The team was soon expanded to include Raphael, who is responsible for marketing and organization.
JUNAKii produces professionally and under fair working conditions in a high-quality factory in Europe.
